What is Video Game Scoring?
Every game you play has music that someone had to create. The battle themes in Fortnite, the ambient sounds in Minecraft, the tension in a horror film — that’s all scoring. Our instructors have done it professionally for titles like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Watch Dogs: Legion, and the Far Cry series.
Here students will learn how to compose original music for video games, experiment with mood and storytelling through sound, and develop skills in composition, music production, and sound design. They’ll explore how professional composers create memorable game soundtracks while building their own original portfolio of game-inspired music.

Music for Video Games (Beginner)
A first step into game audio. Students learn the basics of writing looping themes, layering moods, and creating music that fits the world they love to play in.

An advanced 8-week course for ages 16+ exploring professional video game music creation in Unreal Engine 5, where students develop high-level skills in adaptive composition, orchestration, mixing, and interactive music system design.
