Hear & Now was founded to bring a personal, human touch to music education. As a teacher, I saw how many companies focused on quantity over quality, treating students and teachers like numbers on a spreadsheet. But I believed—and still believe—that music education should be about more than just lessons. It should be about connection, growth, and inspiration.
We believe it’s not about becoming a virtuoso overnight—it’s about building a meaningful and lasting relationship with music. When students feel supported and encouraged to explore music on their own terms, something magical happens. They stick with it, and in doing so, they often surprise themselves with how far they can go.
Driven by this vision, I reached out to trusted friends and colleagues who shared my passion for meaningful education. Together, we built Hear & Now—a place where students feel supported, teachers feel valued, and music becomes a lifelong source of joy and confidence.
What started as an idea has grown into a community that prioritizes personal connections and celebrates the unique journey of every student. We’re not just teaching music—we’re helping people discover a lifelong love for it.

What makes us stand out
At Hear & Now, music is personal. We understand that every student’s journey is unique, which is why our lessons are designed to fit your style, goals, and pace. Whether you’re just starting out, picking up where you left off, or refining your craft, we make learning music fun, approachable, and tailored to you.
With a team of passionate teachers across Toronto—from Etobicoke to Scarborough and North York—we offer the flexibility of in-person or online lessons. From piano and guitar to bass, ukulele, singing, and drums, we’re here to help you explore and connect with music in a way that feels right for you.
OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
With over a decade of experience, our philosophy is simple: music should inspire, not feel like a chore. We focus on songs and methods that excite you, helping you grow at your own pace. Beyond technique, we’re passionate about building confidence—on and off the stage. Performing helps students face fears and gain self-assurance that carries into every aspect of life, and we’re there to support you every step of the way.
