FAQs

Do I have to pay for the whole term upfront?

No, you can choose to pay monthly or by term (3 months at a time). All lessons must be paid in
advance (or by the first of the month) after receiving an invoice.

Can I pay for individual lessons as I go?

No, we do not offer pay-as-you-go lessons. Students must commit to one lesson per week
based on the TDSB calendar.

How can I pay for lessons?

We accept credit card, e-transfer, cheque, or cash. Payments must be made in advance

What are the lesson rates?
  • In-home lessons: $40/half hour, $55/45 minutes, $70/hour.
  • Virtual lessons: $35/half hour, $50/45 minutes, $65/hour.
What happens if I don’t pay my lesson fees on time?

Lessons may be terminated for non-payment.

How do I terminate my lessons?

If you wish to stop lessons, you must provide 2 weeks’ advance notice via email. There are no refunds for lessons already paid for

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson?

You must notify your teacher at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. If you cancel with
less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged in full for the lesson.

Can I get a refund for a missed lesson?

No, missed or cancelled music lessons are not refundable and will not be deducted from your invoice

How many rescheduled lessons am I allowed per term?

You may reschedule one lesson per term as long as you give 24 hours’ notice. Additional
cancellations will be charged in full, though we will do our best to accommodate make-up
lessons when possible.

What if I miss a rescheduled lesson?

If you miss a rescheduled lesson, it will be considered given and will not be refunded or
rescheduled again.

What if I have a pre-planned vacation?

If you plan to be away when lessons would normally take place, you must provide 2 weeks’
advance notice. We will try to reschedule, but this is subject to the teacher’s availability. If
notice is not provided, the regular cancellation policy applies.

Do students get a chance to perform?

Yes! We hold two concerts per year, giving students the opportunity to showcase their
progress in a fun and supportive environment.

Is participation in the concerts mandatory?

No, participation is encouraged but not required. Students are welcome to perform at one or
both concerts, depending on their comfort level.
